The Gerbil was originally developed as a safe alternative to routers for cutting out vacuum formings. However over the years it has evolved into a more flexible machine that can be used for a far wider range of trimming and finishing tasks. The Gerbil fully complies with HSE and COSHH regulations, the European CE mark directive and also with the BS4163 "Health & Safety on Workshops of School and Similar Establishments". It comes with a two year warranty and is supplied with a comprehensive operating manual.

The 2010 features:

400 x 455 table top
Multi-tool arbor
Tungsten carbide abrasive disc and holder
Tool height adjustment facility
No-volt release switch
Deflector plate to prevent motor access
No access to sharp cutting edges
Slow running speed of the disc means it is safe to touch
Can be upgraded to a 2020

The 2020 features the above and also the following:

Adjustable 0° to 10° tilting table
Adjustable guide fence
Dust extraction fence incorporating guard for tooling
Large diameter hand wheel for tool height adjustment
A full Tool Kit (see below)

The Gerbil Tool Kit - suitable for both the 2010 and 2020 models.
If you already have a Gerbil machine and would like to increase its range of uses in the workshop, a Gerbil Tool Kit is available containing the following tools. Each tool can also be purchased individually, if required:

Tungsten carbide abrasive disc and holder

Tungsten carbide flange cutter

Two flap wheels for general de-burring

Finishing mop and compound bar

Polishing mop and compound bar

The necessary Allen keys for tool changing

The Gerbil Trolley
The Gerbil has always been marketed as a versatile and portable machine which can be moved between workshops as and when it’s needed. A customised Gerbil trolley is now available to make this process even easier. The new trolley come with the following features:

360° swivel castors - 2 with brakes

Rimmed top surface with non-slip mat

Removable storage shelf

Mini tool tray for holding any Gerbil tools and accessories

Lower shelf - ideal for holding a vacuum cleaner for connection to the Gerbil’s dust extraction fence

Robust metal design

Handle for easy manoeuvrability
