DUST EXTRACTION SYSTEMS stock and custom-built

All RJH Dust-Extraction mounted machines for educational D&T departments have been re-engineered to meet stringent environmental regulations. The new extractor is significantly more efficient, decibels quieter - (effectively a 33% reduction in sound intensity), and incorporates a Cassette dust collection feature for clean quick convenient waste disposal.

RJH have widespread expertise in the area of specialist dust extraction systems, both as retrofit on RJH plant, and also custom-designed for non-RJH equipment. Simply consult RJH engineers for an efficient, individual solution.

A number of stand alone dust extraction units are available to complement the existing education range. These are designed for general classroom dust collection. All models are designed to meet the requirements of UK COSHH regulations, the European Machinery Directive and the BS4163 “Health & Safety in Workshops of Schools and Similar Establishments” regulations.

WET EXTRACTIONS SYSTEMS can be supplied by RJH, but experience suggests that dry systems are preferred and are more appropriate for the functional workheads used in Design Technology and Training workshops.

ADDER

Dust Extractor for Circular Saws

The ADDER is a self-contained high-capacity dry-dust extractor, ideal for extracting the large volumes of dust created by circular saws. It is a flexible unit that can be adapted to fit most circular saw models.

The unit features a splinter collection box and adjustable height MDF work surface. It has a large capacity Terylene needlefelt dust bag and is supplied with a 5" (approx. 127mm) spigot and 1.5 m long hose

• MDF enclosure also available as a retrofit

COBRA

The COBRA is a small unit ideal for light duty work, e.g. small bench grinders. It has a manual shaker, with a 3" (approx. 76mm) spigot and fire retardant terylene needlefelt filter.

MAMBA

This compact, portable dust extractor is castor mounted, making it a handy unit for workshops that generate dust at different locations and at different times. It has a large dust container and a 4” (approx 102 mm) spigot located in the lid.

• Additional 2" (approx. 51mm) diameter vacuum hose spigot
• Additional 2" (approx. 51mm) diameter hose kit
• Single phase motor
• Armoured cable to connect to mains supply

VIPER

The VIPER is a compact, fully enclosed vertical dust extraction unit that is ideal for fine dusts with explosive characteristics. It is also suitable for large particle removal, e.g. wood chippings. It features a 150 litre steel drum for dust collection, a high efficiency centrifugal fan to overcome system resistance, enclosed shaker gear and an integral starter. The access door to the filter chamber and the waste material hopper are both quick release for ease of use.
